![]() On January 18, 2010, the Miami Dolphins signed a five-year deal with Sun Life Financial to rename Dolphin Stadium to Sun Life Stadium. The stadium served as host for the second round of the 2009 World Baseball Classic, and hosted the 2010 Pro Bowl. Since its construction, the stadium has hosted five Super Bowls ( XXIII, XXIX, XXXIII, XLI and XLIV), two World Series (19), and three BCS National Championship Games (2001, 2005, 2009). It is one of three stadiums remaining to house both teams from the NFL and MLB, along with Oakland Coliseum in California and Rogers Centre in Toronto (which is a part-time home for the Buffalo Bills NFL team and full time home of the Toronto Argonauts CFL team.) With the addition of the Hurricanes, it is the only stadium currently housing an NFL, MLB and NCAA Division I College Football team. Originally named Joe Robbie Stadium, it has also been known as Pro Player Park, Pro Player Stadium, Dolphin Stadium, Dolphins Stadium and Land Shark Stadium. It also hosts the Orange Bowl, an annual college football bowl game. It is the home stadium of the Miami Dolphins National Football League team, the Florida Marlins Major League Baseball team, and the Miami Hurricanes NCAA football team. Again, it's not a good business practice. Others are at least 50% off retail price, and stock is still there, aka no sales. You can still find stores and websites trying to sell the 2020 jersey for retail, which means it will not sell. Post all star game, those could be had at 50% of retail. The same can be said for the 2022 version used in Vegas. ![]() Plenty of inventory was sold off at cost or less. Sellers ordered more than normal based on 2019 demand of the 2020 version (musical staff across jersey), and sales were not as hot as 2019. The 2019 AS (Parley) jersey sold well as it was the 1st time adidas used team crests. So here's adidas All Star jersey example - part of this narrative is from a benhsports posting. Now, "Stuck Inventory" could apply to CAPS jerseys if order volume is increased. Once available, some were even available to early for sale - a couple restocks over the past month - as their distributor has product to move. For the Canes SS, The Eye team store/Carolina Pro Shop seems to be well stocked with SS jerseys, which tells me they ordered appropriately for their fan base.Bottom line, it's good for their business bottom line, and they don't get stuck with inventory. My guess is that changing the order volume is more risky than just doing the norm, which equals guaranteed revenue. Fanatics will not adjust since the jersey order volume as they sellout. Which makes it slim inventory for the CAPS ones once they hit the street. They obviously used the "standard" analytics to place their jersey orders. NHL Shop and Monumental Sports are Fanatics based.Anyone's guess, but these were made on Dec 22 and hit the street for some at the end of Jan 23. So could have been material/labor shortage, production line change over, or even late design change that we may not know about. The CAPS SS jersey has a production date on the jersey label of 12/22. So whatever cause the production delay of the CAPS SS jersey is still unknown. Team Stores typically get the new release first, followed by retail and 3rd party sellers. Based on those orders, the production line is set up to meet that demand. These sellers, whether they are team stores, retail, or 3rd party sellers, all place orders sometimes a year in advance of a jersey release. ![]() Simply put, the supply is driven by orders received. Well, here's what I can gather when talking with some sellers that buy from adidas. ![]()
